To obtain the benefits of omega-3, one must frequently consume much more than simply the 1,000 mg a day that has been typically suggested. The reason only 1 gram has been advocated, however, is due to contamination risks. This is clearly not a problem if you're consuming an IFOS-tested brand.
If you're not consuming an IFOS-certified product, you are certainly more in danger of consuming toxins.
