Using Technology To Get The Right Career Advice And Boost Your Job Search
The last 20 years have seen communications technology completely change the way we research and apply for a job. All applications for jobs was done largely on a face to face process, in 1990, with a careers or recruitment professional making judgments on your suitability that could have a major impact on your choices and the career advice you received.
By 2000 the emergence of the Internet had given job seekers websites to look for roles and email to send CVs – but the process was still largely controlled by recruitment professionals who were the hub of the network that connected job seekers with prospective employers. The good news in 2010, is that the new realities of career planning and job search works for everyone; with the Internet still driving change and at an even more rapid rate.
Networking on a global scale
Social networking technology is simple to use and highly effective at connecting people with common goals or interests. Savvy recruitment professionals use this to connect with the best talent to provide to their clients, so those looking for career advice and job opportunities can connect with them here. The success and reach of sites such as LinkedIn, Xing and Viadeo have added a super-charged dimension to the age-old benefits of networking.
Visibility is now easy
Facebook, Twitter and the sophistication of Google’s search results means anyone can build an online brand that says the right things about them to key contacts and prospective employers. Make sure you keep this regulated, because recruiters will certainly take note if there is anything negative.
There's free access to most online resources
Undertaking a detailed career assessment and getting actionable career advice often requires time, travel and money. To help individuals take control of their job search, there are extensive sets of career planning tools that have been developed, such as those at Careerplan4.me.
The human factor is still the key
Technology is undoubtedly driving positive changes in the job market – allowing job seekers, recruiters and employers greater, cheaper and quicker access to the right information – however, technology can only take the process so far. The individual still has to close the deal, even though the technology can help identify and create opportunities. While a suitability to the role is always considered before making a career move, it can only be decided by a person and not technology.
what are the requirements for a regulated power supply?
we have a project and i just don't understand this subject. it's the teacher perhaps but i try to read the hard book. or should i just shift course?
btw, i expect transformers, bridge networks, Zener diodes, and transistors. a diagram would be of great help. thanks!
there are 2 types of power supplies, regulated and unregulated. Regulated will always provide the voltage it was designed for up to it's current limit. Unregulated will do this very poorly if at all, since most devices like to operate at a constant voltage, regulated is preferred.
A simple google search would turn up the schematic diagram you need and you are already very much on the right track regarding what components are needed.
if the book you are reading is too hard for you to understand try doing some searches to find it written in a way that is more to your liking. There's tons of info on this.
