Several Simple Ways For Making Printed Circuit Boards And Also Prototype Boards With Toner
If you need to create printed circuit boards and prototype boards with toner, you should first get your materials ready, scrub the copper section of the bare board, print a mirror picture over the glossy side of the photo paper, lay the PCB design and style on the board, move the PCB layout on to the board, soak the board for half an hour and peel off the paper, and remove any obvious copper and wash out the toner.
Printed circuit boards and also prototype boards with toner are only a few of the electronics-related jobs you can make by yourself. Follow these ways for creating printed circuit boards as well as prototype boards with toner.
Get your supplies ready
The types of materials required for making pcb prototypes are simple enough to locate. You will need a 600-dpi laser printer, picture paper for ink jet or laser printers, a paper towel, a bare PCB without photoresist, acetone, a scouring pad, clothes iron, a flat wooden board, a soaking plate made of glass or plastic, a ferric chloride etchant for circuit boards, an old toothbrush, hot water, a set of safety glasses and also plastic gloves.
Clean the copper side of the uncovered board
Clean the area of the bare board’s copper part utilizing the scouring pad and setting it below cold running water. This will thoroughly clean the board and take away any oxide.
Print a mirror graphic on the shiny part of the picture paper
Because you will be making a transfer picture, you must create a copy of the mirror-image of the original document. Position the photograph paper in the manual feed slot of your printing device and be sure that it prints on the glossy section.
Place the PCB design and style over the board
Let the iron warm-up by turning it on to its maximum setting. Cut out the margins of the PCB style you imprinted, but leave an allocation somewhere. Position the bare PCB on the wooden board ensuring that the copper part is facing up. Cautiously lay the PCB design down and be sure that the toner-side is facing downward. Check to see that the registration represents on the style are aligned with the edges of the board.
Transfer the PCB design and style to the board
Move the PCB design to the board by pushing it using the hot iron. Keep the papers steady and slide the iron in all parts of the paper to make sure that the entire area heats evenly. Keep pressing for a few more minutes prior to permitting the board to cool-down. If the board does not come out the way you intended, you can simply print another.
Soak the board for thirty minutes and peel off the paper
Place the board in the bathtub of hot water and then leave it to soak approximately a half-hour. After half an hour, get the board and peel the paper off the surface area. You can utilize the tooth brush to properly wash off any hard-to-remove parts of the paper. Once the paper has been completely taken off, allow the board to dry.
Eliminate any obvious copper and clean the toner
Ensure that you use the plastic gloves and also safety goggles before performing this final phase. Put the board in the tray and pour in adequate etchant to coat the entire board. Permit the board to soak approximately 15-20 minutes or until you are sure that the etchant has fully eliminated all visible remnants of the copper. Wash the board using cold water and wash out the toner by cautiously rubbing it using the acetone. As soon as the toner has been washed off, you could clean the board using the paper towel.
With frequent practice, you’ll find yourself making circuit boards that are close to professional quality.

how to transfer circuit design to PCB?!?
breadboarding isn't that difficult because it has busses and its just plain easier. But I'm having a lot of trouble shrinking a fairly simply circuit design down to fit a PCB. Not to mention, the PCB has no connections between the holes. Do I just use solder to connect different holes?
Any advice would be MUCH appreciated.
Do you mean a Custom PCB with say 2 or 4 layers or one of those "test" PCBs with the little holes.
If the later, you treat it like a bread board. You connect the holes using wires.
