Pentax Optio WG1 Waterproof And Shock Resistant Digital Camera
Pentax WG-1 is the newest model in its series. It is waterproof, dustproof, shockproof, coldproof, and crushproof which means you can take adventure photography to new heights (and depths). You can take picture underwater up to 30 feet depth. It has shockproof and shatterproof body that protects the delicate chip and mechanical parts inside. It is crushproof and the manufacturer claims that it can withstand weight force up to 220 pounds. Plus it works even in low temperatures (perfect for Alaska cruise). And if you happen to visit Sahara desert it is ready for a sand storm!
Get ready for adventure in any environment with the new Pentax Optio WG-1. The most fantasticly durrible camera. Performs great underwater. Rubber and very hard grippy plastic cover the whole camera, and gives a very rugged and tough feel, The Pentax WG-1 is such a tiny lightweight package. Featuring outstanding waterproof, dustproof, shockproof, coldproof, and crushproof capability, you can take adventure photography to new heights (and depths).
Pentax upgraded the Optio WG1 performance in five ways with extreme features waterproof up to 33 feet, shockproof uggedized design to withstand falls up to 5 feet, crushproof construction to withstand weight force up to 220 pounds (100kgf kilogram-force). Coldproof to sub-freezing temps of minus 10 degrees C (14 degrees F), Dustproof protection for dry, dusty environments.
The WG-1 GPS has a Pentax 5x optical zoom lens stuck on the front of the camera. The focal length of the lens is 5 – 25mm (or a 35mm equivalent of 28 – 140mm). The aperture range on the lens is f/3.5 (at its widest) to f/5.5 when using the full 5x optical zoom. If you want more than the 5x optical zoom, you can use a combination of optical and digital zoom to increase the zoom up to 33.5×. Looking at the lens, you’ll immediately notice the five micro LEDs that surround the camera. While these lights aren’t necessarily part of the lens itself, they do give the lens an interesting look and design.
As for photo and imaging features, the WG-1 isn’t the most spectacular. Pentax definitely put the focus on body design, and, as a result, the image controls suffer. Still, the WG-1 GPS does have a 14-megapixel image sensor, 720p HD movie recording, and a variety of scene modes to play around with. The Pentax Optio WG-1 goes on sale from April 2011, with pricing set at about $350, some $20 more than the previous W90 model, and $50 less than the GPS-equipped version, the WG-1 GPS.
What is the abrasive grinding stone in the photo?

I have this small (half inch) piece of abrasive stone that scratches glass. I use it to cut very thin microscope coverglasses. Do you know what may be the material? (silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, boron carbide or something else?)
Looks like a granite to me with a lot of pyroxene (which would scratch glass)
