To me, it did. Wrestlemania is supposed to be a stage where you etch your legacy forever. Since Mankind n Taker never had a WM match together, I will always regard Taker vs Masked Kane and Taker vs HBK as the superior feuds compared to Taker vs Mankind.

No, defnitely not. Undertaker vs Mankind was a legendary feud and should not be less superior compared to others, just because they never faced eachother at Wrestlemania. Definitely, for some feuds, a match at Wrestlemania will be the defining moment, but Taker and Mankind faced eachother in one of the most memorable matches of all time; King of the Ring 1998, Hell In a Cell. I don't think Mankind and Taker needed a match at Wrestlemania to etch their legacy, because they performed one of the greatest matches of all time at King of The Ring, which was their defining moment.
Although a Taker vs Mankind at Wrestlemania would be a very interesting match, that's for sure.
