why is Applied Materials shares half the price of NXP if AMAT has been #1 supplier of silicon chip since 90s?
Plus AMAT has double the revenue... the only reason I can come up with is that AMAT doesn't specialize in silicon semiconductors ONLY.. it has other products, while NXP focuses on semiconductors. Any ideas?
AMAT has 1.32 Billion shares out with a market capitalzation of 20.75 Billion $.
NXP has only 250.75 Million shares out with a cap of 20.75 Million $
A share in AMAT represents a much smaller percentage of ownership.
