Ulla Thiel

Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa

Ulla Thiel serves as Vice President for  Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).  Before joining Cray in February 2004, she was the director of HPC Sales EMEA in IBM. Prior to that assignment she held increasingly responsible management positions at IBM since joining that company in 1989, including roles in HPC marketing, sales, and sales support. Dr. Thiel received her doctorate in mathematics from Saarbruecken University (Germany), she also studied at the University of Edinburgh (UK), and has held various research positions at Universities in Heidelberg, Germany and Madrid, Spain.
